Description
If you don't recognize these three fantastic characters, then you are missing out. After getting the sketch done for my recent trivia winner, I had a bit of space on the page left.... and well... I don't like to waste sketch book space. I didn't intend for the lioness to look like anyone, but when I started putting the eye markings around her eyes... I thought she looked just like Kat. So instead of making another random OC, I figured I keep going and finish her. It's not the first time I've doodled out characters from other comics (it's pretty common for me, actually), so I decided to do another favorite, Naanda. Then Uru... and lookie here... my favorite badass females in the fandom.
Kat: *Koai - Kat is a favorite of mine because of all the hardships she went through in Koai's comic and her personality. She can be sarcastic, blunt, and she is fiercely loyal. When I first saw Kat when stumbling over Koai's comic, I thought she had such odd eye markings. They didn't look like anyone from the series or even in fanart that I had stumbled across, so her design stuck in my head.
Naanda: =albinoraven666fanart - Raven's design of Naanda is by far one of my favorites. But it's not just her look, but her personality. I have a thing for hard ass characters who refuse to take shit from anyone, which is why I love these three girls. Naanda was not a favorite by the readers early on in the comic, however, I found her interesting. Everyone was happy and chipper, and then you had miss grump, Naanda. She was, and still is, unique. She is not made of stone, though. Her soft moments stand out so much more than your average kind character. I look forward to seeing her story continue (or end, because of the dark times her and her family are in at the moment).
Uru: *Rinjapine - This red lioness, one of the first Semi-characters I discovered when entering into the fandom, stood out to me so much just because of her color. Oh yes, I could go into the vast library of Rinja and her amazing world she's created within TLK, but I still haven't been able to go through everything. I could go into the depth of her tragic life, which makes a character feel relatable, even as a lion, but... it's the red. Her pelt color alone is the reason why I fell in love with creating dark and red lions. It is Rinja's version of Uru that inspired me to alter my Mohatu's colors from brown to red.
There are not a huge amount of female characters that stand out to me when it comes to story and personality. Many are kind, sweet, and are loved by all. Some are evil, and corrupted by greed. But for those in the middle, they always leave a mark in my mind. Their personalities seem to conflict with what we think we know about them, and sometimes we are stunned by their actions. They are the grey characters. They make the stories addicting. 
These three artists are some of my absolute favorites. Their stories are thrilling and always leaves me wanting more. I could have easily gone into more detail why I love them, their characters, their stories, and their overall work, but I'm a tad sickly by almost catching hypothermia so my brain isn't working properly. They are fantastic inspiration, and it's about time I took some of my doodles on their characters and actually posted them.
