Bio: Kopa, second in line for the throne by birth, was a sarcastic, playful cub. Unfortunately, his personality was a bit twisted. Not in the worst way, but he definitely had a darker personality. He showed his entitlement in both breed and gender to anyone who sassed him. He believed as a lion, they were the most important, most powerful beings there was. As a male, he constantly made snarky remarks about how the females had to do the work for the males, it was their job. Ironically, as much of a dick as he was, he never sought to be king. He would rather explore, play pranks, and travel the lands to see new and exciting things than boss animals around and sit on a stupid rock. He felt this way because Simba was always off dealing with the animals and the lands to spend a lot of time with his cubs.

As a cub, he, Naba, and his best friend Afua slipped away and ended up entangled with a rogue. He and his brother received Scars because of this stupid endeavor. When Nala brought the young Timira to their lands and said she would be raising her and that she would be betrothed to Naba, Kopa instantly took a dislike towards her. His parents didn't have time for their own cubs and bringing in another one was stupid in his mind (according to Kopa - they, however, spent much time with them. Kopa and Naba was always running off to play). They both had sharp personalities, so they instantly hated each other. Kopa, a manipulative cub, turned Naba and Afua against her. As he grew into a teen, Naba and himself decided to leave the pridelands in search of learning new things and for Naba to find his own queen. Of course, they were discovered (betrayed by Afua and Timira of all lions) and his quick, sharp words stung Nala in a way that only PTSD could... recalling horrific memories of the torture she and the others suffered. Nala lunges at him, scaring him on the shoulder, and does the same to Naba's back leg. She exiles them and removes their royal titles.

At some point, he and Naba fight and split up. It's around the time that he is intrigued by a young lioness. They travel together for a while until she disappears on him. She returns with a cub, but he leaves them. He is not a lion who could ever be father material. He's had years to think about how he treated his family, and fears to cause pain to this cub as well. Eventually, he finds Naba and they begin to travel again. At some point, his daughter joins them... at first just trailing behind, then soon enough, she is together with them. Kopa won't allow her to call him father, but when he learns what her mother has done, he leaves and "takes care of her." Although he doesn't admit to being her father, he won't let her die. In his own way, he cares for her, but he cannot FOR her and doesn't want her to learn anything from him since he knows now he is not a lion to learn anything from.

As they get close to the Pridelands, determined to return, they are greeted by the one lioness they had hated in their cubhood. Timira. Vitani is there as well, checking the borders. Like Timira, Kopa and Vitani do not get along. Timira tells Vitani to sneak over and get Chaka while she holds the rogues at the border. When Chaka arrives, he tells them to leave. When they refuse, Chaka makes them a deal; help him find and rescue Shani, or leave and never come back.

If any of them felt guilt for what befell Shani... Kopa took it the worst. He was so horrified to find his sister in such bad shape that he and his siblings massacred her captors with the help of hyenas.

Eventually, Kopa makes up with Nala and is allowed back into the pridelands.

In terms of appearance, Kopa has a lot of his great uncle Scar in his main pelt color. His eyes come from his father and grandmother, and his spots come from Nala's grandfather. Hopefully this is the last time I change his mane XD But at least I'm pleased with it now.

Honestly, I'm against Nala here. I've seen clips of PTSD episodes and I know people literally can't control their bodies. However once Nala regained lucidity, did she attempt to find Kopa and Naba? Did she try to get help from her pride after her mistake? Otherwise, she knew she wrongfully exiled her teenage children and did nothing to change it.

Worse, Chaka threatened to reinstate his brother's "exile" when he returned and expected Kopa to make up to Nala. A bratty teenager doesn't deserve to be violently made homeless and treated like a criminal after they return. It's not like a situation where a parent asks their 25-year-old to move out, because they're not doing anything productive with their life.
